Big Bear Lake Trip 2021

I wanted to take Richie to Big Bear Lake for his birthday in 2021. He has never been here and this was a nice little trip for his first time. I rented out a cabin-like Airbnb and it was close to everything. We definitely had a lot of fun!

Holloway's Marina & RV Park

We rented a pontoon from Holloway’s Marina & RV Park to cruise down the lake for a couple of hours. It was a bit windy, but also warm at the same time. The view was really great and it was a fun time! Richie had a great time being captain and we took a lot of gorgeous photos.

Get Boards - Kayak

I was able to get us a good deal for renting kayaks and bikes through Get Boards. There’s also a birthday discount too! We checked-in at the store and went to our kayak location. The staff had us lock up our personal belonging and put on our life jackets. Afterwards, they helped us get into our tandem kayak and off we went. This was another nice way to see Big Bear Lake with a little arm work out too!

Get Boards - Electric Bikes

Richie and I originally rented regular bikes, but decided to upgrade to e-bikes. The best idea ever! We wanted to ride and cruise along the trails for 2 hours without the extra exercise. So glad we upgraded because we saw other people struggling on the trails while riding on regular bikes. The e-bikes was a fun activity to do during the summer season. Make sure to double check with Get Boards if you can get these rentals!

Captain's Anchorage

I spoiled Richie at Captain’s Anchorage for his Birthday dinner. Not to mention, I heard this restaurant is haunted too so why not have a boo-tast-ic celebration! I am glad we did because the food was delicious! Not too sure if any supernaturals joined us (haha). It was a lovely experience and we really enjoyed the staff! They were super friendly and loved the fact that we came from out of town. Love this place!

Himalayan Restaurant

Wow! Just wow! I think this was the best Indian restaurant that we have ever had. The flavors of every dish we got was superb. I wish we had a  Himalayan Restaurant closer to us because we would eating there all the time (haha)!

Overall, Richie and I always enjoy going on trips together. It is one of our favorite things to do as a couple! Just chilling and having fun. And of course, eating well and doing plenty of activities too!
