Lunar New Year at Disney California Adventure 2023

Lunar New Year celebration is one of my favorites at Disney California Adventure. Richie and I always like to see what NEW foods they bring to the parks. They offer a sip and savor pass, but we haven’t done this in a while since we know it doesn’t benefit us (price wise).

This year is in celebration of the rabbit/cat and there’s a lot to do if you haven’t done this before!

Paradise Garden Grill

Paradise Garden Grill is one of our favorite restaurants inside of DCA. The food here is always pretty consistent and once in a while a food item may flop. We recommend getting the Banh Mi. This is consistently good every year!

What we got:

  • Banh Mi
  • Sweet and Sour Whole Fish (NEW)
  • Tiger Milk Tea (NEW)
  • Honey Dew Milk Tea Parfait
  • Dak Bulgogi (NEW)

Marketplace - Wrapped With Love

We had super low expectations for the NEW Pork and Shrimp Wontons since it’s super pricey. The wontons were really delicious! Full of flavor and so warm with each bite. However, this was worth only getting once.

Marketplace - Red Dragon Spice Traders

We ordered the Gochujang Elote (NEW) and Red Spice Fried Chicken Bites (NEW). I enjoyed the elote and wish it was more spicy. The Red Spice Fried Chicken Bites was a bit cold and hard. The marination is really yummy, but we wish the chicken was more tender inside.

Pacific Wharf Cappuccino Cart

I was eyeing the NEW Green Tea Horchata here. This was a pretty good combo. We tasted both the green tea and horchata at the same time. I wouldn’t mind getting this again, but the Tiger Milk Tea from Paradise Garden Grill won my heart (haha).

There’s more marketplaces and other locations, but we haven’t had a chance to try those places yet. Not too sure if we will be able to since the celebration ends on February 15th, 2023. Overall, we are happy to try the items that we wanted the most!
